Galata Chemicals is a leading supplier of plastic additives with a comprehensive portfolio of organotin heat stabilizers, mixed metal heat stabilizers, epoxidized soybean oil, bio-based plasticizers, organotin catalysts, and polymer modifiers. Lazard Middle Market advised on the transaction.
Artek Surfin and Aterian Investment Partners, currently joint owners of Galata Chemicals, have reached a definitive agreement whereby Artek Surfin will acquire Aterian’s shares in Galata Chemicals. The transaction is expected to close in March. The company will continue to operate as it does today with the current organization in place.

These increases will be effective March 1st 2012, or as contracts allow.
SOUTHBURY, CT – Effective June 15, 2011, or as contract terms allow, Galata Chemicals will increase the price of its Drapex epoxidized soybean oil by up to USD 0.08 / lb in North & South America.
